When you sign up, your everyday debit card purchases will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. That change will be debited from your selected checking account and deposited daily into your high-yield Ownership Account.

PLUS, Rogue will match your Save the Change deposits for the first 30 days upon enrollment.

What is Save the Change?

Save the Change is a smart benefit from Rogue Rewards. Members who opt-in to Save the Change will have all debit card transactions rounded up to the nearest dollar amount. That rounded up amount will then be aggregated and deposited nightly into their Ownership Account where it can earn 2% APY. PLUS, as an added benefit, Rogue will match all rounded up change for the first 30 days following opt-in!

How do I sign-up for Save the Change?

In order to sign up for Save the Change, you will need to either stop by any branch or call us at 800.856.7328 to be opted-in to this program.

Who can participate in Save the Change?

All members 18 years and older are eligible to sign up for Save the Change, however, they must have a checking account with debit card set up to actively participate.

What type of transactions are covered in this?

Any transaction done with a consumer debit card is covered. This includes card swipes and mobile wallet payments.

Are mobile pay transactions counted toward this?


Who is funding the rounded up change?

Members are funding the rounded up change from their checking account. If a transfer would cause your account to go negative, however, we will not do the transfer.

Where will my rounded change be deposited?

The rounded change will be aggregated and deposited nightly into their high-yield Ownership Account where it can earn 2% APY. If you do not have an Ownership Account, your rounded change will be deposited into their Savings Account.

Are there a maximum amount of swipes/change deposits per month?

There is no limit to the amount of swipes or change rounded up per month, since it is you leveraging your own funds.

How often will the change be deposited?

The change will be deposited on a daily basis. Note: depending on the time of the transaction it may take some deposits up to 48 business hours to become visible.

How does the 30-day match work?

For the first 30-days after you enroll in Save the Change, Rogue will match your rounded up change and deposit this into your ownership account as well.

Can I have my change deposited into a different account?

While you cannot automatically have your change deposited into a different account, you can transfer the funds out of your Ownership Account at any time. As a reminder, the Ownership Account is a withdrawal only account, so once the funds are transferred out, they cannot be re-deposited.

When does Save the Change end/expire?

At this time, the program will run indefinitely, however, Rogue reserves the right to cancel or modify the program at any time.

How do I opt-out of Save the Change participation?

You can opt-out of Save the Change by visiting any branch or calling 800.856.7328.

If I opt out, can I opt back in?

Yes, you can opt-in and out as frequently as you would like by visiting any branch or calling 800.856.7328. If you opt back in, you will NOT be eligible for another 30-day match.

*Upon enrollment, we will round up your RCU debit card purchases to the nearest dollar and transfer the difference from your checking account to your Ownership Account once each day in a single transfer (“Save the Change” transfer). If you do not have sufficient funds available in your checking account, or if any transaction has overdrawn your checking account, we will not round up daily purchases and we will not make the Save the Change transfer for that day. The Save the Change program is subject to change at any time. Limit $100 Save the Change Match. Limit one 30-Day match per account suffix.
