It is Great to Feel Welcome
60 years of Service
It is that time of the year where we are planning to celebrate the credit union’s success with our 60th Annual Meeting. At the Annual Meeting, we will share what has happened over the past year and what we have to look forward to in the coming year. I am excited to welcome our members to this meeting and share with you the outstanding results your credit union has achieved over 2016. This past year was truly a year for the record books and my job is to encourage and welcome you to this event, held at our South Medford Plaza on Tuesday March 21st. Join us at 5:00 PM for hors d' oeuvres and wine tasting from local wineries. Please visit our website for all the details on the 60thAnnual Meeting.
Please Join Us!
I welcome and encourage you to stop by and help us celebrate 60 years of living, giving and supporting Southern Oregon. Yes, it is a business meeting, but this is also a casual opportunity to visit with our staff and our Board members before and after the meeting. I love to catch up with our members and get an update on how Rogue is doing from your perspective. It is this one-on-one time with our members that keeps us grounded in the roots of service that saw their genesis in that little garage on Newtown Street in Medford back in the early 60’s. Hopefully, the opportunity to learn more about how we have had our best results in 30 years will entice you to join us.
If you would like to learn about what it means to take a more active role in the democratic ownership and control of Rogue Credit Union, I invite you to attend an informational meeting this month. Your Board will share the duties and responsibilities of service on the Board of Directors and other Committees at an informational meeting that will be held on Wednesday February 22nd at our South Medford Plaza from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. For more details, or to RSVP, please contact Executive Assistant, Peggy Blair, at firstname.lastname@example.org(link sends e-mail) or 541-622-7107. This is another opportunity for your credit union to welcome you to learn more about the vital role our members play in the oversight and leadership of Rogue Credit Union.
Thanks Central Point!
Speaking of feeling welcome, I want to give a shout out to the City of Central Point for the amazing reception their city leaders provided as we broke ground on our new branch in Central Point in late January. At the ground breaking, we were joined by Mayor Hank Williams, City Council Member Taneea Browning, City Manager Chris Clayton, and Community Development Director Tom Humphrey. Their attendance at our ground breaking is a demonstration of their commitment to welcome responsible business growth in their community. Throughout the planning process, the city staff has been helpful in guiding us through the process to ensure approval of our plans. The approval process was efficient, timely, and made us feel truly appreciated for the continued investment we are making in the community of Central Point. It is so great to feel welcome!
This is an exciting time of growth and opportunity at Rogue Credit Union, and it has all been made possible by your continued loyalty and support of our efforts. We’re committed to providing you with a local not-for-profit financial cooperative option. As my final enticement to encourage you to attend our Annual Meeting, I will provide an update on the status of planned new branches at our Annual Meeting this March.
